The privilege of creating books for museum shows is one of our favorite things here. This was a particularly special one. When we were approached by Claire C. Carter, curator at SMOCA, to help her visualize and translate this long-overdue show into a catalog we were thrilled. Having long been a fan of Soleri’s work, exploring urban architecture in the desert, this was an opportunity to create a special book commemorating this important show.
The finishing touch to this great project was a private tour and insights into the exhibition by Claire C. Carter for the whole team at ps:studios.
“Having some general knowledge of Paolo Soleri’s work before working on the catalog and seeing the pieces in the exhibit, I feel now that I have a deeper understanding and appreciation of his life’s work not only as an architect, but as an artist, urban designer, and visionary.”
